The friendliest ballet school on the block

Inspiring confidence and joy—one step at a time!

After more than 16 years, Kennedy School of Dance has officially closed its doors.

To every student, family, and supporter who was part of this journey — thank you. It has been a true privilege to watch so many young dancers find their confidence, passion and joy through dance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

MEET ERIN KENNEDY

Hi, I’m Erin, the founder of Kennedy School of Dance. My passion for dance started at age 6 in a ballet class held in a charming, converted schoolhouse. With Kennedy School of Dance, I strive to recreate that same magical atmosphere - a place where children can freely explore their imagination, create social connections, and enjoy all the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of dance.

I am a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School Teacher Training Program and hold a BA in Dance with Distinction from York University. I have over 25 years of experience teaching all levels. As a registered teacher with the internationally recognized Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (both credentials awarded with distinction), I am dedicated to nurturing and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

DANCE CLASSES

Our students are nurtured in a non-competitive atmosphere where the primary focus is learning the art of dance — and having fun! Performance skills are developed over the year, culminating in our year-end recital. Personal attention is ensured with our smaller class sizes and our talented teachers and assistants. We offer ballet, contemporary, and jazz classes.

AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB

Creative Kids Club is a safe and welcoming place for kids to learn, play and blossom in a family-friendly setting. It’s designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to thrive beyond the regular school hours. With a wide range of engaging activities, including arts & crafts, dance, yoga and outdoor play, we aim to foster creativity, and promote social and academic growth.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

Our daughter loves when Saturday comes and she gets to see Ms. Kennedy! Your patience and gentle spirit coupled with your experience make for an amazing first experience for our daughter. We will continue to bring her to wherever you teach.
